Perk Werks, Inc. is a business-to-business direct marketing company specializing in selling “gift cards” for over 200 of the largest, most respected retailers and service providers in the US. Perk Werks uses these gift cards to provide fundraising services to schools and Non-Profit Organizations (NPO), mainly private and public schools. In addition there are religious organizations, civic groups and sports clubs, such as soccer and little league teams. Perk Werks purchases gift cards (scrip) in bulk from retailers and wholesalers at a discount from face value. The NPO(s) purchase the scrip from Perk Werks, which in turn, mark up and resells the scrip to their members at face value. The difference is the NPO fundraising revenue; typically 5% of the face value, while their supporters are doing their everyday shopping.
